JBoss Application Server, also simply known as JBoss, is a popular application service available on numerous platforms. It is open-source software. JBoss Application Server, although originally written by JBoss, is now developed under Red Hat. It has changed its name to Wildfly. Wildfly is a lightweight application that allows users to build complex applications with proper management of resources and reduced costs. It is centralized, user-friendly and provides test-driven development by its use of the Arquillian framework. Red Hat also provides an Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) to its users for a non-production development environment. The EAP is available for 1year at a no-cost license of Red Hat EAP.
