2. First launched in 1996: FrontPage was first introduced in 1996 as a part of the Microsoft Office suite of applications. It was initially developed by Vermeer Technologies, which was acquired by Microsoft in 1996. FrontPage was released as a standalone application before being integrated into the Office suite with Office 97.

Features of FrontPage: FrontPage offered a wide range of features for creating and managing websites, including a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor for designing web pages, support for HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, built-in templates, themes, and modules, and integration with other Microsoft Office applications like Word and Excel.
