Javadoc tracking and usage

Javadoc is a documentation generation tool from Oracle for Java source code. It extracts comments and annotations from the code and creates HTML pages that describe classes, interfaces, methods, and other elements, allowing developers to understand the code structure, functionality, and purpose easily.

Javadoc comments begin with /** and end with */. Place the comment immediately before the element you'd like to document, such as a class, method, or variable. Use tags, such as @param, @return, and @author, to provide more information about the element. For example:

Javadoc tags provide additional information and categorize elements in the generated documentation. Some common tags include @param for method parameters, @return for method return values, @author for the code author, and @see for references to other elements. Tags appear after the general description in Javadoc comments, starting with the "@" symbol.

You can generate Javadoc HTML pages using the "javadoc" command-line tool, or through an integrated development environment (IDE) that has built-in Javadoc support, such as IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse. The command-line tool takes a list of source files and options to control the output, such as the output directory and whether to include private members in the documentation.

To link to other classes or methods in Javadoc comments, use the '{@linkplain ClassName}' tag for links without text, or '{@linkplain ClassName#methodName Description}' for links with descriptive text. The '{@code ...}' tag can be used for inline code snippets or class names. For example:
