RxJS tracking and usage

RxJS, short for Reactive Extensions for JavaScript, is a library for asynchronous programming that uses observable sequences. It simplifies complex code, making it more readable and maintainable through a combination of functions, operators, and reactive programming concepts.

Observables are a core concept in RxJS. They represent data streams, like events, user input, or even API calls. An observable can emit zero, one, or multiple values over time. Observers can subscribe to these observables and react to the values being emitted.

Operators in RxJS are functions that are used to transform, filter, or combine observable streams. They can be applied using a pipe() function on an observable, and produce a new observable as output. Some common operators include map(), filter(), and merge().

When you subscribe to an Observable, you receive a Subscription object. To unsubscribe and stop receiving values from the Observable, you can call the unsubscribe() method on that Subscription object. This will help to prevent unnecessary resource usage and memory leaks in your application.

RxJS provides a few operators specifically for handling errors, like catchError() and throwError(). catchError() is used to handle errors within an Observable pipeline, allowing you to transform errors into alternative streams or values. throwError() can be used to create a new Observable that emits an error. When an Observable encounters an error, it immediately stops emitting values and notifies the subscriber's error callback, if provided.
