About XMB
XMB stands for XrossMediaBar. It is made available by Sony Computer Entertainment. It is an award-winning graphical user interface that was popular for its use on the PSX. It was also used for PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 3. It came with different options such as settings, photos, music, video, TV services, game, networks, PlayStation Network and Friends. XMB was compatible with a USB keyboard and web browser. It allowed the user to download many files at once. XMB was no longer relied on after the introduction of a new touch-based user interface known as LiveArea. LiveArea was used for PlayStation Vita.
