React Redux tracking and usage

React Redux is a library that allows you to use Redux, a state management tool, in your React applications. It enables React components to read the data stored in the Redux store and dispatch actions to update that data. The main features of React Redux are connect() function and useSelector & useDispatch hooks.

In a React application, Redux serves as a centralized state management system for managing the global state of the application. When the application grows and has many components, passing down data through props can become cumbersome. This is where Redux comes in and allows components to interact with the global state directly, making it easier to handle state changes and maintain consistency throughout the app.

The main components of a Redux store are the state, actions, and reducers. The state refers to the global state object that holds the application's data. Actions are payloads of information that describe the intended state changes, and these actions are dispatched to the store. Reducers are pure functions that take the current state and an action, and return the next state based on the action's type and payload.

mapStateToProps and mapDispatchToProps are two functions used by the connect() function in React Redux to define how the components should interact with the store. mapStateToProps is used to define which parts of the global state should be passed down to the connected component as props. mapDispatchToProps, on the other hand, allows you to specify action creators that should be available as props to the connected component. When any of these action creators is called within the component, the corresponding action will be dispatched to the Redux store.

useSelector and useDispatch are custom hooks provided by React Redux to access the Redux store state and dispatch actions within functional components. useSelector allows you to extract data from the Redux store state, replacing mapStateToProps. useDispatch returns the store's dispatch function, replacing mapDispatchToProps, and allows you to directly dispatch actions from your component. Using these hooks can simplify the code and provide a more concise way to interact with the Redux store in functional components compared to using the connect() function.
